For so many years I pushed through hard, intense workouts in the lead up (Luteal phase) and during my Period thinking that this was 'good for me' and I was going to get fat if I didn't work out this way everyday!
This was in fact totally screwing with my hormones which caused me to experience fatigue, burn out and GAIN weight! I repeat GAIN weight!
After much research and experimenting I now know the importance of the right movement to match my mood and cycle.
IMPORTANT TO NOTE: The phase of 'Menstrual stage' to that of the 'Ovulation stage' are like YIN & YANG... Light & Dark... Summer & Winter so we should be supporting this with the correct movement and nutrition to ensure we're feeling fabulous all year 'round.

🩸During my PERIOD...
My energy levels are generally low (which is normal) and I don't like to push myself too hard. I love walks in the sunshine, toning tightening workouts, heart opening yoga flows and REST!
I'm full of beans, jump out of bed easily and totes up for a challenge. I love all of the things HIIT, cardio, strength and DANCING at this time!
